KUROKI Deepens Expertise in Polyurethane Materials, Achieving Remarkable Success in New Technology R&D 

Located in the Tucheng Industrial Park of New Taipei City, KUROKI Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to the research, development, and application of polyurethane (PU) materials since its inception. It is currently Taiwan’s largest and most professional manufacturer of hot-casting polyurethane (Casting PU) products.

Adhering to the philosophy of "Quality First, Technological Innovation," the company has built a solid reputation in the industry over many years. Its product line—including cleaning squeegees for office equipment, screen printing squeegees, heavy-duty load-bearing rollers, industrial rollers, and wear-resistant consumables for machine tools—is renowned for high quality. These products are not only recognized in the domestic market but are also the trusted choice for international clients.

In recent years, KUROKI has actively expanded into emerging R&D fields while consolidating its original markets. The R&D team has invested significant effort into innovating soft, stretchable, and printable high-temperature resistant film materials, securing multiple invention patents in both Taiwan and the United States. These materials feature high ductility and excellent processability. Their most notable characteristic is the flexibility to adjust material properties and hardness according to customer needs, as well as the ability to form multi-layer structures that combine elasticity, durability, and diverse applications. Currently, the company has partnered with several major international corporations to initiate product development and testing.

Notably, these patented materials can now be produced in powder form and mixed with various substrates to effectively enhance high-temperature resistance, reaching temperatures of over 200°C. This breakthrough has been successfully applied to sealed epoxy resin products, helping customers pass high-specification temperature resistance tests required by major international manufacturers, showcasing KUROKI’s leading edge in material technology.

Beyond continuous refinement in PU and polymer materials, KUROKI has actively invested in the R&D of precision screen printing. In addition to optimizing squeegee products, the company has ventured into the development of catalytic inks in recent years, receiving subsidies from the government’s SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) program and obtaining Taiwanese invention patents. This ink can be applied to fully additive printing technology; by using non-conductive ink followed by UV light exposure and electroless copper deposition, complete conductive lines and patterned processes can be achieved. Its conductivity surpasses that of common silver pastes, and it requires no high-temperature sintering, as the process can be completed below 100°C. This not only reduces energy consumption and manufacturing costs but also aligns with the international trend of "Green Manufacturing." KUROKI emphasizes that this achievement demonstrates the enterprise's commitment to energy saving, carbon reduction, and environmental sustainability.

Recently, Dr. Wu Chong-ming of KUROKI’s R&D unit was invited to the Printing Technology Association conference in Dalian, China, to share their electroless copper catalytic ink technology. The presentation was well-received, with various parties expressing interest in investment and joint development. KUROKI stated that it will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation in the future, providing customers with more competitive solutions through the integration of cross-disciplinary material technologies. While deepening its roots in Taiwan, the company will also join forces with international partners to drive industrial upgrades and continue showcasing the strength of Taiwan’s material science in the global market.
